John Denver was one of the great pop musicians, and fourteen years after his death his fans are still welcoming summer with his songs: taking in a summer day with "Sunshine on My Shoulders," setting up camp with "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" or traveling the country while listening to "Take Me Home, Country Roads."
Chris Collins and the Boulder Canyon Band will pay tribute to John Denver's musical legacy with a concert of Denver's hits at the Carlisle Theatre on June 7.
In addition to Collins on guitar, banjo and lead vocals, the band includes Paul Swanton (who has penned a John Denver songbook for acoustic guitar) on guitar and vocals, Alex Mitchell on fiddle, mandolin and vocals, Kevin Delmolino on bass and vocals, Mark Nelson and percussion, syntheziser and vocals, Bill Powell on piano and keyboard, and Lindsey Burda on vocals.
IF YOU GO
